How tall is that? I'm pretty worried about ripping my intercooler off. My truck is lowered almost 5/7 and I pull my valence off all the time.

My intercooler looks the same as the one in the picture and it is 12 inches tall. The bottom of the intercooler touches the bottom of the valance so you will have some problems with it dragging.

Random, I not sure what you can do with yours other then learn to drive it without ripping the valance off all the time. You really can't mount an intercooler any higher in the older trucks as you can't get the inlet and out let any higher cuz the frame is in the way. I did find a intercooler that is 2" narrower then mine, so you won't need to notch the frame, but I don't know how you would get it any higher...

Yea, I've seen your pics and I've been searching through old threads.

As far as ripping off my valence, it's just the nature of the roads I drive. Pretty much everyone back home has a dirt/rock road.

I'm thinking I may try and go with a 9" intercooler rather than a 12". The extra 3" would give me the piece of mind, and I don't plan on running any crazy amount of boost.

EDIT- I see what you're saying now and a 9" intercooler wouldn't make any difference. Hopefully I can figure something out.

When I did my first Procharger install, I notched the bumper mounts like KBRacing96 for a 24x12x4 FMIC.

It makes a nice, clean install that you can knock out in an afternoon.

When I replaced the Procharger with a couple Turbos, I switched to a 2 into 1 FMIC directly in front of the radiator. Works great and keps the plumbing to a minimum but a bitch to install. Took probably 2 full days to cut, mount and plumb the cold side.

I like the 2nd style better and keeps the spooling time shorter but it's a lot more work than theh 1st one.

My valance is actually a inch lower then the IC, I had the problem also and since this is the new valance I am going to be extra careful :D
