gt35 seems to be good but the once i found are below my goal hp.

saw this 700whp at 15psi is exactly what i want to around. its definitely an overshoot. but hopefully not too much lag.

q trim are in the 69mm right?

I cant think of any low priced turbo that would have that spec.
unless you know of one thats in the 350 or less per turbo.
If my budget was a bit bigger then im sure ill find one that match what i need.

 

the t72s i just bought are 68mm .68 exhausts.
they should be here friday.

 

Depends on who you ask.
I've always used a 68 as a Q trim.
66 is a P trim.

 

I'm doing a pair of 61mm turbos with .81AR on a 6.0 for next year. I plan on being able to push it pretty hard. We will see what happens.

 

This conclusion is almost always drawn on a comparison of apples to oranges. Unless the only variable that changes is engine size, you can't very well say that the 6.0 is going to choke before a 4.8 in terms of horsepower. You're right, the cam is a huge player here. The biggest overlooked effect the cam has it its ability to allow exhaust up into the intake port and intake manifold during valve overlap. Seems weird to consider, but its pretty simple. If exhaust drive pressure is higher than boost pressure, then when both valves are open that exhaust is coming out of the intake valve. Then you've got a 'fresh' air charge that is hugely diluted with inert gas that doesn't contribute to making more power. That's why his truck choked out with the GT35s. Wasn't the fault of the turbos.

I was actually pretty disappointed when you came to get it and you didn't know much about the turbos. I'm standing there thinking, "WTF Joe, that's the whole selling point!" Glad you found out how badass they are though

 

I know some about turbo's But not to the point that others do. Just enough to get myself into trouble. I usually have to look at a compressor map to see if it will work or not for a specific application.
