Default tvs1900 or tvs 2300?

Ok I know this might have been asked before, but cam someone point me in the right direction, my truck is a 06 crew cab with the 5.3, I would like to throw heads, and a nice lopey cam along with a supercharger shortly after, what all would you guys recommend? Please don't say turbo either, I'm dead set on a supercharger. Also what size stall should I go with? I'm getting ready to drop a 4l80e into it.

It depends on your over all goals. A 1900 will work with most applications. But if you plan on upping the boost or going with a larger displacement I would go straight for the 2300.

The price difference is only like $700 between the two kits.

The truck as 137k on it, I don't plan on much other then the heads and cam also, if it decides to go I might go to a 6.0, just depends, over all goal is to have a decently quick crew cab that has more then enough power to tow and surprise unsuspecting people

For the 5.3 the 1900 is plenty... For a 6.0 it can turn heads of coirse, but given the choice Id go 2300. Without maching my snout im apinning the 1900 as fast as I can. It's fast, but we always want more.

On a 5.3 this blower would be awesome though!!

I've never had either, but will say that if given the choice, I'd do the 2300 10 out of 10 times. whether it be a race car or street truck.

carry on

Hey Hey Hey! On a 5.3 the 1900 would be straight fire!

These things are happiest at a certain RPM and certain level of boost. The 1900 may be happier on the 5.3.

I would put a 2300 on a 5.3 in a heartbeat.

So would I. But it would be a very gnarly blower build to get you passed the point that a 1900 could take you. Can it go further? Or course. Would most get to the point where the $700 was money well spent?? That I question.
