I am thinking I am going to try to mount mine near the airbox somewhere. I am just waiting to see how much of a PITA its going to be to squeeze this big *** HX infront of my Trucool.

Well, I haven't posted much about this cuz i'm supposed to be a "turbo" guy, But I wanted to play with a blower for a while and thought this would be fun. I like the instant boost, but I don't know if it's this blower or what, But the fastest times I've ran with my truck have been with a "little" T70 and .68 a/r. Best time out of the blower so far is a 12.49 at 110.8 running 15-17 psi and making a TON of IAT heat. Funny thing is, I have to zero out the IAT table but it still runs 22* of timing with no KR and 200*+ Iat's.

I want to go to a pair of twin 54's or 57's but I need to not spend money for a while.

Well since you are a FI *****, are the TVS and KB pretty much the same as far as boost caracteristics? Obviously you are running a 2.8kb and you had a TVS1900 so I dont expect you to compare boost #s at 15+ lb. My Kenne bell that I had seemed to build boost a tad bit faster then then Maggies do, they are both so fast at building boost that its almost irrelevant but..... I am comparing my 2.2L KB to the only Maggie setups I driven. A 5.3/112 combo and a 6.0/TVS1900 combo. Ill soon find out on the 2300, Damnit Magnacharger leave SEMA and send my stuff. ( I dont blame them, I would love to go to SEMA)

I'm not sure which way I'd go. I mean, the boost is pretty much instant on the KB, but it was fast on the TVS too. I never pushed the TVS1900 hard by its self so don't have anything to compare it too. I ran the compound setup at 13psi and ran about 12.6 or .7 I think. I think it's this truck setup with the KB that's not performing like I'd hoped cuz the Camaro guys are making descent power on 6.2's with 2.8l compressors but they're mostly all stock setups and less then 10 psi.

Ford guys run 18psi and make 800 HP with the KB 2.8l, but I'm no where near that, maybe just north of 600. If I could have gotten a TVS2300 for $3500, I probably would have tried it instead. But I wanted a big blower that would make big boost by it's self. This makes the boost, but not the power. Even talking to Thunder550, he said his turbo made more power on his truck, but the TVS2300 was more insta-boost kinda street fun. Lots of TVS2300's, KB, and Whipple going on the New Camaros, but not many on built motors and most guys only running about 10 psi or less, so it's had to say whose compressor will actually make power the best. So far, I'm not impressed with the power it's making, but still fun none the less. I dropped a 1/2" in pulley size and didn't loose much power, but dropped a ton in IAT's. Still plenty fun on the street, just a little less responsive.

Ya you have allot more room in the grill then I do. I will also be running a much larger HX. I wish I had that much room behind my grill.
