I bought a running L59 that only had 20 psi of oil pressure cheap today also. Can I build the short block to replace my LMG or should I just use it to learn on and part it out?

No good tuners that are local to me that I'm aware of. So I'm going to be stuck with a 1900 and the factory Magnuson tune until I can find somebody I trust and I'm comfortable with. Sucks the first guy trusted took my money and didn't do a damn thing, because now I don't trust anybody in the industry. I'm going to install a kit and order some parts like headers and a smaller pulley and just drive it until I can find someone who can tune it for them then instal them. Probably going to end up at PCM of NC. But I'm too busy with my business to deal with it right now and I'm ready for a supercharged truck!

I feel like its giving up a bit of hp out of the box maybe 20-40 ish just because of pulley size probably but there is no question a 1900 is plenty capable on either of our applications. There are plenty of examples of low to mid 7 sec 1/8th mi times with a 1900+ supporting mods. BTW if you get HP tuners so you can log, there are some very good tuners that can accommodate via email such as our own "Atomic". If you got a great deal I'm sure your going to be very happy my friend..I'll be looking for updates. Congrats on getting blown!

Thanks brother! I'm excited about it again! I've been pondering the remote tuning and if I go that route I'll go with Atomic first...

You can't use the L59 motor as a drop in engine. That is a 24x motor compared to the 58x motor you'd need in the 2010.

So the crank trigger wheel is different, cam gear, knock sensors are up top in the valley plate where as yours are on the side of the engine block, cam sensor is on the rear of the engine compared to the front cover on yours. Other small odds and ends are different compared to the GEN 4 blocks.
