Default TVS 1900 or TVS 2300

Hey guys just want your opinion on what you think would suit me better. My truck is a new body style 2007 Silverado 2500 HD 6.0. Everything is factory on it in the performance area. It is lifted with a little bigger tires, not sure on the exact size. I love everything about the truck but I am a little disapointed in its performance, that 6.0 is just not enough for that truck. I do not intend on racing the thing or going to the drag strip I have a built Z06 for that so I do not want a turbo or centrifical supercharger. I just want something to help get it moving, even at 75mph on the highway it struggles and has to downshift just to maintain that speed sometimes. Do you think putting a maggie on it will kill the gas mileage even if it can run in overdrive on the highway? I may just sell the thing and get a 1500 or something. Opinions?

A 1900 would do you just fine. Before you spend that kind of cash though you may want to het it tuned by a sponsor first

Yeah the tvs1900 would do great for you especially since you have no desire to race the truck, the tvs1900 would give you a pretty nice bump to get the truck rollin.. If you do go the supercharger route i would deff have a custom tune to get the most out of the new supercharger.

+1 A custom tune will really wake the 6.0 up, not to mention help out your gas mileage. Nelson, Wheatley and Blackbear are sponsors on here and can get you taken care of, links on the right =====>

A 1900 would prob work OK

LOL.

Yeah i agree do a tune first and some long tubes.

Then see if ya still want the blower, which you will, then look for a deal on a nice used 1900 from here. You'll love it daily driving and what ever else you might do.

I don't see the point in spending money to get it tuned before I do that stuff if its not going to achieve the desired results I want. You think a tune would wake it up that much?

I would for sure have the truck custom tuned if I put a supercharger on it, I don't want to blow it up lol.

Do you think the tune alone would help me out that much? Thats what I am debating right now, if I don't need to spend the money on a blower I won't like I said I am not looking to race in it, I just want it to drive down the highway better.

Maybe I will try a cold air intake and a tune, won't longtubes technically make you lose torque because of the loss of back pressure?

Bolt ons won't do it unless your idea of "do.in...it" doesn't equal mine. Bolt on a top mount blower and quit dikkin' around. You need positive manifold pressure to get that pig moving. Boost that comes in quick is the ticket. Plain and simple. You're in the f/i section. What advice did you think you were going to get here?

Many tuners offer free retunes, so if the tune doesn't take care of you, then get a blower and get a free retune for the blower. No money wasted.

If you have the time tomorrow give me a call, it would be easier to talk about the options than type it! I have a 1900 that I got stuck with (customer ran out of money) and I would like to move it on a deal.

I don't know what you are reading but I am arguing the same thing as you lol... I don't want to waste my money on bolt ons and a tune when it won't achieve the desired results... So what are you talking about???

I didn't know tuners would offer a free retune, hasn't been my experience in the past, that could be an option if that is the case.
