Oh heck no on the mileage it was great. It seems it improved a bit after the turbo actually maybe due more to the tune? Also had a 02-04 Ls6 cam. 10 mpg is easily achievable though stoplight to stoplight if you're in it all the time lol. Never dyno'd it just had a street tune but the time and weight says 450-525. Who knows. Sure was fun though for such a stockish truck on low boost.

There was someone on here I think an extended cab GMC, haven't seen him in a while but he was running high 11's with a 4.8 and a TVS with supporting mods. That would be a lot of money but...

93 octane will actually increase MPG on a conservative tune... I run 93 in everything I own, wifes car, my truck, lawn mowers, hell even the weedeater gets 93. LOL. I have tested MPG on 87 vs 93 and 93 always seems to win.

Yah that truck would be fun to drive, I looked at the tvs, there pricey for me I think. I'm pretty much set on a turbo, would be the only one in my area if I had it.

Really eh ? I have a tank of 91 in my truck right now just to clean it out, so I'll see what kind of k to a tank I get. I also run 91 in my sleds, Seadoo and dirtbike. The specs on your old truck looks like it would roll out good to.

Ive raced a few, raced one of my friends (tuner and exahaust) from a stoplight, as soon as i stopped spinning the tires I pulled on him, ran a 6.0 stroke on the highway and he couldnt pull on me until i let off. My friends same duramax at the track was running 15.0s

You will probably get better mileage since you have a 5.3 and dont plan on doing alot to your motor, cause I get 10 no matter what I do pretty much

That's pretty damn sweet, I would be happy with that. I bet your truck is snappy, eh ? If the truck got 550-600 k to a tank after having the turbo on it, I would be happy with that.

Default 3 main kits?

I've had the truck almost 5 years now, I love it dearly a lift pump is holding it back from 500 rwhp but that crappy thing is the moe and mto are pulling diesels over left right and center and throwing out huge fines, so that's what's making me want to sell it.

I've been looking at the 3 main kits that people use here, just not sure which to go with if I do get a turbo.

What are the 3 main kits for the Chevrolet Silverado 5.3??????

Why wouldn't you run it on low octane fuel ?
What are the 3 main kits. For a Chevrolet 2 wheel drive. Single cab.

Thank you
Just-An. That's one kit. Pretty inexpensive also. Do you know the other two they seem to like on this site?
