Do you have it in a front mount? how fast would you say it'd spool, say in RPM terms. The latest I'd get full boost (10psi) with the STS67 right around 3200-3400. A lot people mention there isn't much difference between the two (76 or 70) in terms of achieving boost. I'm really considering a 76 but I don't if it would be fun to drive? I drive her daily and I'd really like to hear the BOV everytime I shift. LOL

You will not be disappointed in spool time on the street with a 76 and a 6L. I had that MP T76 we talked about on my 5.7 ls1 and it was easy to spool on the street. You will be AMAZED how much faster you will spool going from rear mount to front. I've been there, done that!

I see 10psi by 4k in first gear but it should be lower with a 6spd. When my truck starts making boost it pushes the converter up fast so its not quite the same. I think you will be happy with a t76 up front.

I was thinking of that, I don't want to go through the hassle of modifying anything.

First, Thanks for everyone's advice.
I just may have to go with a 70 but I don't want to keep doing the same thing over and over, 60 to 67 to 70, you get the point. I want to have power in lower rpms and another thing is the stick where i barely make boost in 1st.

I still don't think your grasping how much faster the boost will come with the turbo up front on a 6L. I think even with a 76, you will have a hard time shifting fast enough to get out of first without blowing the tires off!! And a 70 is gonna be even faster!

If you are set on a 70, I think you should consider the tc76 from turbonetics. KB recommended this to me for my application, it spools like a 70, but has great topend. And if you want to push it harder some day, get the 1.15 ar housing and it will be even better. Plus, its a polished compressor cover so it looks real nice. Like i said, I get full boost from a dead idle before I am half way through a stop sign intersection.

It turns out the hot pipes will need bending so im not doing it so i have to get something and I think the TC76 would be the wise choice.
what do you guys cover for heat issues. i know the ac accumulator and lines but what else?
its going to be over 100's almost all year long.
