I think that would work, but 3" is overkill for a wastegate, and maybe too small for a downpipe on a turbo 6.0...
I think a 3.5" downpipe with a cutout then down to 3" into the muffler would be ok, and a 2.5" for the gate up to 3" for the muffler would be alright. If theres no penalty for 3" on the gate you can try that, but I would do a 2.5" with a cutout on the gate pipe as well...so basically you have a 3.5" and 2.5", both with cutouts, to the muffler and a 4" tail pipe. I would wire the cutouts together so its just 1 switch to control both. That would be pretty interesting...

Hum..
Thats kinda what i was worried about, i guess im either goin to go with the stock Dmax muffler, or just run my stock muffler and do the cutout either way.
I know the stock muffler will be quiet.

3.5 DP, 4' stick of 3.5" , 30" magnaflow 4" in and out (Is actually 24" case) , and a 4" turndown. Quiet, cheap, big, and flows well . I could run the 4" on out in the factory spot to make it even more quiet.
