I always run at Empire.
I did another test today and installed a second boost gauge at the compressor cover. 1-2 psi drop across the intercooler at 15 psi boost. Not likely my problem.
I did however notice a slight miss over 5k today. I think at least. Ordered new MSD wires to replace my stockers and will put new plugs in and gap them a few thou smaller.
My only other idea is running through the converter, so I'll do some calcs on that as well.
If none of this makes a noticeable difference, I'm off to the dyno to see the curve and see what it's making.
I'll keep this updated!

what plugs are you running? and what converter?
ive seen stock wires be a problem once you start making morepower so that could be a part of it, possibly blowing out spark too...
sounds like youre making progress though!!!

I came up with a slip of 20.4%
I used this calc... Wallace Racing - Converter Slip Calculator
5200 RPM, 3.73 gears, 109 mph, 33" tires
Seems high, right?

Missing isnt a result of blowing through the converter...if you were blowing through it the engine would just sit at a certain rpm and the wheel speed would come up slowly. I doubt the converter is your problem.

Locked the converter up and did a short pull. Truck felt the same.
Hoping the wires and plugs make a difference. Otherwise, it's just slower than I thought it should be and will be upping the boost!
