has anyone installed a turbo timer in there turbo truck yet? i've got the greddy for a good deal (it was free) the guy didn't think it worked but it does just had a loose wire under his steering column. i was told that if you install a remote start in our trucks you need a special relay of somesort to bypass the theft lock thing or something. do i need this for a turbo timer.
for any one that doesn't know the turbo timmer just keeps the engine running for a set amount of time after you turn the key off. to help cool the turbo and keep it from a drastic cool down.
thanks for any help

i dont have one. before i shut the truck off i make sure i haven't been into boost for at least a couple of minutes and if i have i let it idle for a couple of minutes. 99% of the time when i am just driving i dont see any boost so no need for a cool down period.

I know this sounds dumb but, try talking to a local Circuit City Installlation bay. I used to work at one for 3 years and one time one of our guys did hook up a remote start system on a Supra with a Turbo Timer. Most the of the installers at Circuit are very smart and will figure out a way to wire Anything in any car...
