I Just got 13+mpg on my last tank, Thats the same as it was stock. My Zippy tune is Allot better on milage than the stock radix tune.I lost about 2 MPG with the radix tune, I wasn't nailing it from every light, but I wasn't PussyFoot'n around either.

I get about 17mpg in town and 19-20mpg on the highway with a turbo 4.8 through a TH400. Same mileage as I got stock. It's all in the tune while cruising and how much you can keep your foot out of it with either a SC or TC. A better measure would be BSFC while cruising. At WOT a TC will have a lower BSFC, and appear to be slightly less efficient, but tuners usually do that, because the extra fuel spools the turbo harder. Then there's the whole parastic loss vs. exhaust restriction debate. Either way I think you'll find that both will give similar mileage and BSFC at cruise when tuned for it.

In the end a turbo takes NO hp to drive the blower does. Being that the blower is connected to the crank it has to create some drag, how much depends on the blower and the belt tighting. Self adjuster will give less drag, then manual ones.
And lets face it turbos just sound cool.
As far as which gives more HP, depends on your needs and the tuner.

Feel free to drop me a line if there is anything I can do for you.

about mileage. i can get 15mpg on the highway in my truck(1000+rwhp). thats the beauty of boost. you dont have to have a big cam or steep gears so you get to keep decent mileage.

the whole turbo vs blower debate will go on forever. search and read and search and read and then see if you have any spacific questions.

If you turn your own wrenches... buy a turbo. If you don't...buy a radix. If gas milage is a concern...get a turbo. Brian is a nice guy, but the radix was his first love and he will never really get over it!
