IMO, I forsee your project costing you $8000+ before everything is running and reliable. And that is probably on the conservative side. You would be MUCH better off selling, and buying something 99' and up.

$8,000 for what?
-Gen III/IV Swap
-Turbo Vortec 350
or
-Turbo Gen III/IV Swap

No way in hell a Gen III/IV swap would cost that much if he went with an LM7, used his stock 4L60e and kept his priorities straight.

Id assume he meant engine work/ swap, turbo kit, injectors, fuel pump, tranny upgrade, misc.

When I originally started researching for my truck I ready multiple times people say minimum 8k. With everything ive done to my truck over the last year ive got about 10k invested and still no turbo

Sounds like my 02, I've got a hell of a parts pile but I'm still rolling my stock LM7!

yeah ive got just over 10k in my truck. Wish i would of started with a kb turbo setup an went from there.

My car is a dog with a 4l80 and a 9" with 3.0 gears and a stock for now 5.3L.
