all stock 5.3. Its just getting a ton of blow by im sure its from either the ring lands or rings burning up. Im just gonna stuff a stock lq4 in there with my ls6 cam. Im hoping to make the same power with less boost and be alittle more reliable.

Rick I may start pulling the motor this weekend, so I'll be ready for it next weekend.

funny thing is it seems to still be running fine, just puking oil out the dip stick tube and getting everywhere.

On my stock LQ9 with 42s, stock fuel pump and meth I could get 10psi all day long. At 12psi I'd run out of fuel pump.

This might be a stupid question, but you guys don't disable your knock sensors do you?

I'm just getting started with this whole LS1 thing, but coming from Turbo Buicks we live by the factory knock sensors.

Anyone run a Knock gauge/alarm inside the cab to let you know if you're knocking before the smokescreen starts?

Sorry if this is a little hijack...

i have always watched and trusted my knock sensors.

anytime i have hurt a motor or poped a head gasket i can go back and look at the log and there is always serious knock showing.
