Default turbo 5.3 or turbo 6.0 not a argument

like i said not trying to argue. i was wondering why are they so many more 5.3 with turbo v/s 6.0 turbo. is it because most trucks came with 5.3 and 6.0 are twice as $$$ well they are in my neck of the woods.2nd a tuner told me a 5.3 vs 6.0 not that much power difference with both being tubo'ed.

6.0 swap were very popular back in the day

but since the price of a turbo kit is fairly cheap now, most just put a cam in and go FI

Yep....more trucks come with 5.3s than 6.0s so its a lot easier to just install a turbo versus an engine swap plus a turbo install.

The guys in my area build 5.3's with a nice single turbo because its been proven between the 5.3 motor in chevy's and the 4.6 mod motor in fords that it doesnt take cubes to make tones of power, so go with the engine setup that will get more sealing area between the head and block(ie:5.3 block) and boost it.

A 5.3 is probably better in that it has much much thicker cylinder walls helping to hold the deck straight. Not as many issues with pushing water.

Agreed, 6L if you can. Way more down low torque off boost.

Each LS-engine seems very accepting of boost.

The 4.8L seems to be the best candidate for reliability, due to lower compression and more meat in the block.

I've got a 6.0L though and will continue to run these. I don't see a reason to downgrade unless I get a decent deal on a 5.3L (already got myself 2 iron 6.0L's and a 4.8L)
