The "Terminator" engine in the 03-04 Cobra is the only one that is really boost firendly with a stock bottom end. But if you are talking about a built engine, as far as I know no one has ever broken a 4.6 modular block. There are guys making over 2000hp on the Teksid blocks.

Well, I previously thought I was between about 380-400whp, based on similar combos with this amount of boost. But I was looking over the datalogs last night from the tune and it looks I may have gone way conservative on the timing. I am running 13degrees of timing at WOT through the powerband, but I am waiting on some people to get back with me and let me know what I can safely run.

IMO the major problem with the ford motors are the lack of head bolts compared to a chevy and the lack of main bolts as compared to a chevy (2 bolt vs 4 bolt). Are the LSX motors 6 bolts? The lack of head bolts makes the ford motors more likely to pop a head gasket, ask me how I know, I ran a 5.0 roller block for years, I got pretty quick at changing out head gaskets...

Just my .02, I am sure others will disagree....

IMO a main girdle helps out alot on the ford block

Or some aftermarket Main Caps (4-boly), but they require machining.

The LSx blocks run the same head bolt pattern as a SBF, you can use a SBF torque plate to hone an LSx block. Now the GMPP LSX block has 2 additional headbolts per cylinder and as well as the warhawk block.

Turns out I am only hitting about 7psi, so I will be needing a manual boost controller. Here is a 0-60 video..

Is your rating of 380-400 hp at the wheels?

Thanks.
