Default TU2 Turbo cam

Ive had the stage 2 trick kit for a while now, just starting the install now.
I want a good sounding lumpy cam, it will be a street/strip truck.

I was thinking the TU2 but have been having trouble finding any real world results on it in a turbo 5.3.
I know there is a TU1 and 1.5, but i would like the maximum amount of lope i can get.. while still making decent power in the mid. Might even force me to keep my foot out of it also to have all the power in the higher ranges.

Another question i have is.. when would i start seeing boost leaking through the valves?.. is that only on split cams? or..
What are your suggestions on a big cam that would work for me?

Thanks.

I assume you are referring to overlap issue as far a "boost leak". You won't have that problem with those TU series cams from speed inc. they are developed specifically for turbo builds. I would say the TU2 might be a bit much for a 5.3 build. A member here named camaross built a very light 5.3 RCSB with a tu1 cam that is super mean and fighting to be one of the fastest 5.3 trucks around. I believe he touched the high side of 10s in his build. I would say that would be a great cam for you unless you only plan to roll race. The TU1.5 would be the biggest I would go in a 5.3 if you are going for monster topend and lumpy as possible. If sound is what you want then its as much about tuning as anything else. Especially idle timing.
A few questions for you:
What turbo do you have?
Stall size?
Purpose of truck?
Weight of truck?
Gear ratio?

Other then a track, it will be roll racing and burnouts 80% of the time.
For right now, i only have a 70mm turbo, i do plan to go bigger.
Stock stall for a little bit, plan on going with a 3000
The truck will be a fun highway play toy, with few trips to the track.
It weighs 6000lbs. RCSB

hmm what about the more obscure "boost cams" out there, liljohn motorsport has a 226/231 .605"/.598" 113+4. Same stage 2 cam BTR carries..Any of you guys run this cam?

Okay the TU2 is too big for your build. You will basically hate it until 4000rpm and 70+mph and you will run out of turbo. I would suggest the TU0 or isky triple 12 for your current setup. With a larger turbo and a 3000 stall a TU1 or TU1.5 would be lots of fun. I wouldn't go over 220 duration with a stock stall and that turbo will probably run out up top above 5000rpm.
