Getting rid of 8' of exhaust and 10' of intake piping really makes a difference in spool time.

Looks great KB!! Glad to see it's done and working! Let us know when you get some numbers and more importantly 60 ft times!

I wish I could do that. lol. I'd love a front mount knowing now what I do about turbo's. On the increased spool time, I'm sure it's much better with all the piping removed. It'll also be faster than crap if you used the same AR setup as when it was a rear mount. "Figuring" it was matched properly to spool responsively as a rear mount, bringing it up close will only allow faster spool time. On our hemi engines, we get a .96 AR. I had a friend try that with a front mount and it was crazy. He had to go with a 1.15 AR so it didn't launch him out of control at part throttle.

And you probably know this already but a rear mount has cooler/denser exhaust air so more can travel through a smaller wg. Going front mount, you might want to bump up the wg size a couple of mm.

Overall, I'm envious that you got yours converted. I've always wanted to do that too.

ding ding ding we have a winner.

Kick *** work KB!!! Looks great and I am so jealous you have the skills and a place to put them to use.

If I ever went turbo it would only be a front mount. Kick *** work, especially in a few days.

Very nice indeed But everyone knows a log manifold won't work.

I personally like the start of the thread AFTER it is done.

Looks great KB, but I think 4.8s are sluggish down low anyway. I run a lq4 and a 60-1 sts and my tires smoke immediately and boost takes less than 10 feet. Great job, i have all the materials and skills to do this , I am just not sure I want it under the hood. I will be watching for future post by you!

Can you pm me some efi live pricing . I already have a wideband lc1 installed. Thanks

Your truck is also a rcsb 2wd. There is a big weight diff there.
