I have had efi live for a couple weeks now just to busy to mess with it yet. I do want to figure out how to use it as a scan tool to try and figure out the cause of my check engine light. Its been on since i added the turbo. Any good how to's or reading material for efi? Any tips for getting started? Thanks for any guidance.

Can anyone recommend a tablet that will work for tuning with efi live. I hate laptops. If a tablet will work I would prefer to use one and in the market for a new one anyway. Not interested in apple stuff. Thanks

I'm not sure on what the system requirements for efi live are but i'll assume it's gotta be windows based. A few guys are running hptuners on the Acer one 10, it comes with a keyboard. I have been thinking about getting one once my truck is up and running.

Yeah, needs to be windows pc based. I use a Surface Pro 3 for my tuning stuff. EFILive doesn't have nor will they ever have anything for Android. They think of that stuff as gimmicky and only write their stuff for windows PC.

i use hptuners, but assuming interacting with the efilive editor is similar...i strongly recommend getting a keyboard/touchpad attachment for whatever tablet you end up getting...i use a cheap dell tablet with windows 10 and it's sufficient, but trying to edit tables with the touchscreen and onscreen keyboard was super obnoxious IMO...plus the keyboard attached helps keep the thing from flying around the cab during "power tuning" for those of us who don't have a dyno in our garage

Finally had time to get my meth kit mostly installed. I will finish it up this weekend. I plan on running the purple washer fluid. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what to use? I read somewhere you can buy meth or something similar to it in bulk at Tractor supply or runnings. Anybody know anything about that? Thanks

Water and Isopropyl alcohol works too.

One 12-16oz bottle and like a half gallon of water. I don't know how big the tank is though.

You could use e85 in a pinch as well. Just about any race shop has methanol.
