Got a tru cool cooler to install and wondering if it matters were the lines connect on the cooler? Is there a flow direction? No markings on the cooler so i am assuming not.

na, doesnt matter

as far as driving around with the kit before getting it tuned. DONT. I did that and it sucked. the truck went into power reduction mode every couple of minutes. I would have to clear the code and continue driving, it would come back and re clear the code. It was really annoying and pain in the ***. I think i could only do like 20 mph.

Was looking at your build thread. What did you use to mount your tru cool? Looks clean. Did you just cut the metal lines and slide the hose over? Did you flare the ends after cutting?

Yea because you hit the throttle. Lol
I drove my 02 6.0. For months prior to getting it tuned.
You just have to drive like your blind and don't want to hit anyone.

thinking about might be because drive by wire compared to old school cable.

Drive by wire, no rear 02s, maf... who knows what causes it but it sucked driving. I 100% did not give it any gas.

I cut the metal lines and hose clamped it. used the stock brackets and screwed it to the a frame.

I'm convinced the way I did it is the absolute easiest way to do it. Purchase/ borrow/ beg/ steal HP Tuners and get a base email tune from your tuner. Mine runs great, I've been driving it all over the place on the lightest gate spring (seeing 3psi on the gauge). I've come across several little bugs and issues from driving around that would have complicated a dyno day.

What he said, trust me my buddy is a tuner what the vast majority of people do is they scramble till last minute to finish up their project/install then head to the dyno, then they spend the first couple hours trouble shooting then you do a run and a hose pops off so you trouble shoot more then it's time for the next guy to get tuned so you head home to fix your **** then have to go back for tuning later on. Just not worth it.

I would find a tuner that can give you a base tune like lxcoupe mentioned so that you can load it up and give you the option to drive around a while to make sure things are running good.
