I cant seem to find the exact thread where I read it, but some very knowledgeable turbo guys on tech are the ones who posted it. It makes sense to me. I mean BW prolly has millions in R&D to make the turbo as effecient as possible, then a aftermarket performance shop decides to see what they can do with a CNC without putting in the countles hours of testing that BW has.

Not finding a hole lot, there's some input from the diesel guys saying less blades pull in moreair and spool quicker, also found a test done with the exact same wheel just billet vs cast and saw 0 gains in performance, they also claim the main reason for billet was that they could design a new wheel much quicker. So far it's not looking so good for the billet wheel we have to pay almost 300 bucks more for.

Ok I just got off the phone with Reed at work turbochargers, first of all he's a really nice guy and great to work with. Anyways he said they didn't do billet wheels on there s475s, he said they had done a little testing on them when they came out and seen no gains at all so they didnt do anything with them. I told him what turbo I had and he said there was much to be gained and he would set me up a turbo that would still spool up good and push my 4.8 on up to the 1000hp mark. well once again I have no idea what to do lol.

Depending on what billet wheel your talking about. My billet wheel is a custom deal separate from the BW billet wheel from boost lab. It has 11 full blades and ETT. I have no doubt it out performs a standard wheel and the track times stand behind it's performance.
