I like how you guys here lately are thinking outside the box, we must be bored LOL!
My current intercooler is sittin on the shelf in the shop since im N/A.
What kinda test you want me to do? One with the IC like i had it with the STS? And then up by the manifold?

I was so busy at work today when i got a break i just kicked back in my chair and started thinkin haha. Dangerous at times, yes. But just like being different and i remembered seeing this setup years ago and found it. Think its a W/A kit with a procharger?

Might be in the all the cold water you want.
If you put it on the passenger side with the turbo on passenger side.
You will want to have a thermal barrier around your ic.
Plannin on wrapping all the hot pipes and making a heat sheild out of aluminum plus a turbo blanket.

Goin to be running a KBracing front mount.
As long as theres no air in the water portion, it doesnt matter. Just keep the water flowing.

Ive got a tvs1900 HX i think its what it is. Bout the size of a trucool 40k trans cooler.

One summer when i had the STS i tried unhooking my HX, shortened all my lines and ran them from my water tank, to pump, to IC, to heater core, to tank.
Went to look for my buddy a truck and when its 100* here in MS we gonna rock the A/C, so riding with the blend door on half, recirculate, and fan on bout 3. The A/C felt the same as it did with it on normal full blast cold on the blend door. But the recirculate was sucking all that cool air across the heater core chilling the water. Nothing wrapped nor insulated, my IATs would slowly drop down to the 50-60 range.
We found a truck he wanted, went to his GF house and got the trailer, went back to get the truck. Even towing a 05 EC 2wd the IATs wouldnt break ambient. Get in boost and as long as it stayed under 3-4psi they stayed nice and cool. Now thats not moving a whole heck of alot air at 1800-2000rpms at 4psi. But its just enough where the IC could keep it chilled.

Even daily driving it without the A/C on the temps wouldnt get over 25 above ambient. I think it was a good idea, so ill be trying it again.
Winter time starts gettin close and just mount the HX and run the hoses to it. Vola got your heat back.

Can't get much shorter then that.
need to get some different fans on there so the air filter has a little more room.
