Well, The blower install has begun. Got the old manifold off and the new valley cover installed. Set the blower on for test fit and as you can see, there is just no room to blow the turbo strait into the TB with out completely redoing the hot side to move the turbo, and that aint happening, . It would hit everything at such a weird angle, I wouldn't like how it would flow. Still haven't decided if I'm going to keep the intercooler for this first go-around, but I think I am. If I decide to try a bigger turbo, I might drop the intercooler then and see how it does. Or if the IATS are really low still and I don't get the off idle hit I want I might pull intercooler and see if it does any better.

Looks like the intercooler outlet is by the VCM, are you gonna make a pipe that runs right behind the fan and then do a 180 degree turn?

You need to make friends with the silicone coupler guys and make a mold for a wild reducer with a funky bend right there. Sure would look nice.

Or take and make a tube from the blower to the TB that gets it (The TB) directly in line with the turbo and use a straight reducer.

I had a bad experience with the silicone elbows when I had the STS. Under engine Vacuum they had a tendency to suck in and deform.

I tried that, but they wanted a tooling fee and min of 10 couplers to do it... Definitely not worth it, lol. In person, it looks even worse of angles and space. I mean I could build a nice steel on, but I just wouldn't be happy with the flow dynamics of it. I think it would create a lot of turbulence. . If it didn't have the TB adapter it would be better, but still not the best.

I hear you there, I imagine the pic can be a little deceiving.

Why couldn't you build an elbow for the TB to aim it more at the turbo?

Or is there enough room to reclock the compressor housing, aim the outlet straight up and then have an elbow off of it, then straight to the throttle body?
