I know people get a kick out of Magazine articles, but just for conversation sake, in the latest issue of Car Craft there is a fellow that has a LS2 bored and stroked to 441cu-in (4.125 x 4.125), along with being converted to a 6-bolt head bolt arrangement by ERL. It supposedly has box stock Trick Flow 245 heads, running a huge Precision 106mm single turbo on stock 6.0L truck manifolds pushing 32psi of boost, generating 2000hp and running 7.50’s at 194mph in a ’00 Firebird.

I know the little hondas benefit biiiig time by running these ramhorn and equal length style manifolds..some gain 50-100 horses with the same boost level but I guess with these big V8s we have enough exhaust volume that manifold design isn't as critical. Looks badass though!

Build yours and post it up!

Its not as easy as it sounds. when you have 8" of pipe to do something with when all you need it a few inches to hit the flange.

They offer a lifetime guarantee!! Lol, well considering what they made it out of, makes sense. I wonder if they guarantee the exhaust manifold bolts?

You can't use bolts with these... they have to be welded directly to the block. lol

I wonder how well a set of the LS Marine style exhaust manifolds would lend themselves to building a twin turbo set-up, besides being expensive. The may position the turbo’s too far back being centered, but they look as if they should be heavy enough to hold up forever.

your confusing me on your last statement. i have no worries about trying to build one of them manifolds if you know how to weld and have the tools then its fairly easy.
