Default Testing a Air/Water IC.

Here are a few pics of the Air/Water IC we have been working on.
The water tank is in the rear and holds roughly 12 gallons of water.
This is just for testing. The final tank will more then likely end up on the passerger side behind the over flow jug.
We will also be testing a water meth system.
So far just over ambient temps while on the gas. And when we added IC lower the ambient temps where seen.
The main purpose is to test the pressure drop across the core. Just sharing what we have been up to.

very interesting take on the A2W intercooler......Looks like the I/C is a long element, do you have a measurement on the length? Delta P, Delta T etc, etc?

What's sealing the MAF sensor the the IC?

How are you getting below ambient IAT's with non-chilled water? It might be possible with a 12 gallon tank, but not for long.

With the Meth/water/intercooler combo I'm assuming

Is that aluminum block behind the throttle body there to add stability to the intercooler core mounted above?

core is 3 x 10 x 9
You got me on all the math stuff. lol. I really do not know. I purchase the core with a related MAX hp of 750 to the ground hp requirements. NOt that I would ever see that much HP. But the core was spec'd for that.
The pump is what I think is the key to this core working so well. WE use Meziere water pump.

Not to bad on time, but fitment is a little tricky. Right now my 2500HD is the only thing I have put it on. 1500 might run into hood clearance issues.
Not sure if we are going to leave in that location, but for testing was a little easier to set up. Did not have to worry about tubing bends etc,.

Silicone is sealing the MAF to the IC.
Water was right out of the tap, air temp that day was over 90' No long haul testing has been done yet. The colder temps where after we added ICe. I forgot the "e". lol sorry about that.
Now its freezing at night so I have to add antifreeze to the water, and have not done any more air temp testing. Been waiting to finish the water meth system and go smoke the tranny a little more.

Meth is not fully fuctional yet. The temp sensor is inside the intake about 3 inches behind the water nozzle.

Houses the water injecting nozzle.
I have included some pics of the air temp sensor, and the water nozzle.
