Default TB closing under boost

Who has had a problem with the throttle body on their trucks closing under boost on a GM truck?

I am curious how wide spread of a problem it is and on what years and engines it is happening on along with how much boost was being ran on the engines it has happened on.

Thanks

what type of blower do you have? I had this problem with my blower so i had to change to a different tb. I also have heard that that problem can be fixed in the tune too.

I have a 2.3L Whipple going on a L92 this week. I don't expect much boost with the standard included pulley plus 1-7/8 headers and catback but I will likely get a different pulley eventually.

Ive read somewhere the spring in the stock 87mm tb is a lil weak, but the zr1 uses it so i can verify, i swapped to a ls3 90mm tb when i put my blower on so i have no experience with stock tb under boost... not very informative u know.. lol, just thought id throw it out there for ya...lol

Ive seen a 87mm TBSS TB close. I have heard its a common issue, the 90mm car TB's have a stronger spring. And the LS3 TB's actually open the correct way for the truck intakes as well. Just a FYI
