I have the Yank TT2600, and I wouldn't want mine any looser as a daily driver...the higher revs to move from a stop is already annoying enough after 30 minutes in stop & go traffic.

What about a 4L80E and the stock converter? The 4L80E TC will stall to 2500 under boost, at 10lbs you have plenty of torque to overcome the taller 1st gear. Find a low mile OEM, throw in a HD2 shift kit and never mess with the tranny again. Just a thought...

IIRC, Rick at Synergy was saying that the 2600-2800 range was better for PDBs due to the high off-idle torque?

Congrats Jenna! Once the truck is done I want to throw a Radix or TVS on my wife's Tahoe along with a 2600-2800 converter. Don't need anything more than that for a DD that won't be doing much stoplight to stoplight drags.

Problem with the 80E is the OD. It isn't as good and cruising on the interstate you will be turning more RPM. When the motor goes in my wife's Yukon it will be in front of a 60E it should hopefully make 400whp

I only have the numbers that EFILive quotes and I don't trust those. The Tahoe is running real well right now, can't wait to put the converter and transmission on there! Then she will get a whole new power plant when we get rid of the 5.3L.
