im installing a s/c in my truck in a couple weeks .i just put a new cam in and want more power of course .my question is ,is it ness. to put a SUPERCHARGER CAM in or am i ok with my 218/221 540 114 lsa cam ?of course i want to do the right thing but if i dont have to i wont .and it is my everyday driver not really a track truck i just like to go when i hit it .

 

that's a pretty bigass cam. If I were you I'd step down to something like the gt2-3. Supercharged guys have had great results with that cam.

 

What engine is in your truck?

I don't think that came is too big for a 5.3 and is really not too big for a 6.0.
For a supercharged engine you want to keep the overlap in mind. That is what will bleed off your boost a little.

Also, what type of SC? That make a difference.

 

that's really a baby cam. i'm putting a 224/230 581/592 114lsa in a 4.8. it's a litle big for a 4.8 but it'll be fine. oh it's supercharged as well procharger D-1SC 10-12 psi.

 

That's a sweet little cam for a supercharger. What is the centerline?
