From what I've been reading, it sounds like the torque management is killing it. It also has a bad lag in the throttle response. How much of the torque management would you guys recommend taking off? The truck has to be reliable, it's my daily driver. Could I just completely remove it without the transmission taking a ****?

I agree with most about tune. If it has TCM in it still it wont really come alive till 3000rpm. Very counter productive with a TVS lol. On the pulley it will say how big it is. Persay if its a 3.4" Pulley, and you want more boost, Usually when you go down .1" you will gain 1# of boost. So id drop to a 3.0" To gain an additional 4# of boost and make it around 10
However if you have a 4;60e it will not last long behind 10psi. Mine lasted like 5000miles maybe, and trans only have 50,000miles.

The transmission will last for a while if you grandpa drive it haha. The guy that tuned my truck said he could take out different levels of tq management. 50% 25% 75% and so on
GM didnt upgrade the vmax to a 4L65e? Are you sure it's not a 4L65e? You could buy a low mile 4L80e and swap it when your blows. 4L60e's are strange.... some trucks it never breaks and others it makes it 40-50K stock set up. I guess it depends on if it was a good or bad day at the 4L60e plant.

A 65e/ 70e will have 5 pinion planetarys and diff position of speed sensors or extra speed sensor ( bad memory lol) compared to a 60E.
Just cuz the number is close to 80e it's not a strong enough trans for big and bigger power .

. That's what feels good , but soon you need more
