Summer heat effects on your performance?

Hmmmm. I spent the day at Slowhawk's speed shop, Dez Racing, having him tune and dyno both Whippled Hoes today. It was 95'F! "Heat index" +100'!
First off, that guy knows what he's doing!
Secondly, he mentioned at one point, that the extremely hot temp's can cause "knock" (mind you, I am NOT an engine tuner/builder) and that the high temps can allow for a good diagnosis of how the motor will run at those extreme temps. However, it's foolish to tune your motor (or mine, in this case) to accomodate those extreme temp's when you may be also dealing with cold air in a few months...
FWIW.

h town is killing me, after i push it for a while those temps go up and my truck feels like a dog. like on the Galveston cruise i couldnt edge a bolton silverado due to 3 hours of HEAVY FOOTED driving, in the texas heat.

Yeah, I'm in Austin and it's the same here. I just got my Kenne Bell finished today, and the difference between 4 p.m. (over 100*) and when I drove it an hour ago (~80*) was huge. It really was like a different truck.
With water/meth injection, how long does, say, a windshield washer reservoir last? What I'm wondering is, would I have to refill every 20 miles, 50, 100?

Even with ice in my a/w intercooler, the heat still affects my truck. I've seen a .2 difference in the same day, went from 11.8 to 11.6 after the sun went down and the temp dropped about 20* (85* to 65*). I can't wait for the fall!!!
