STS users, questions about your air filter location.

STS users, questions about your air filter location.
Obviously we all know that the position of the air filter on the Base STS Turbo kit is compromised.
What have you guys done to relocate or gaurd the filter from water and debris.
I have been kicking around modifying the stock air box to mount under the truck but the thing is so bulky it just is not feasable.
I have seen someone's set up here who cut a hole up into the truck bed and had a diamond tool box modified as an air cleaner location.
Drilling holes up into the bed is not something I want to do.
STS does offer a filter relocation kit, but they don't even show the thing on their web site, anyone have this kit?
I was also thinking about getting a filter from a semi-truck supply store, maybe a large stainless tube with a commom filter inside to keep most of the crap from getting to the filter.
Let me know what you have done to resolve this issue.

I never had any issues with the filter. Mine always stays dry. In the pass year i have had it i only cleaned the filter once and it wasn't that dirty. I don't drive off road and all the roads around here are paved so that may have something to do with it.

I'm looking here right now to see if anything will work.

Here is a picture of the snake. That is the STS Filter Relocation kit. I have it but have not used it yet and may not. I will see how the filter makes out in the winter. Mine does pick up a little water. I have found some in the wastegate when I had it apart but was told by STS that is normal.
