Normally with bigger turbos and higher boost, it will go off under sustained boost. You can pull the small rubber plug out and use an allen wrench to turn it up some, although I wouldnt do it much. STS does offer a high flow oil pump that will help also.

I wish they included information for advanced tuners and users. Maybe I should call and see if they have anything for their recommended tuners and STS dealer/installers.

Maybe its a different setup in the hemi's from the others. Mine works like I described earlier and its a 1lb hobbs. It shorts the contacts when it does not see oil pressure coming from the pump on the return line.

The Dodge kit has two Hobbs switches on the pump circuit, one to activate the pump high(er) speed mode when "higher" boost is seen, plus one on the pump unit itself that activates the alarm. Both are adjustable like mentioned with an allen wrench. Clockwise will increase the switch engagement threshold. STS does not suggest playing with these but if you use common sense and remember where you started it is no issue ( we had to adjust the one for the extra injector on ours ).
I THINK it is tripped when excess pressure builds up on the turbo side of the pump ( the switch is located inline before the oil reaches the pump ). They are push style pumps and do not pressurize the oil going into the turbo and rely on gravity to feed the oil to the pump.
Again this is the Dodge kit, and I am not familiar with the GM kit so it might be different. If it is the same, make sure to adjust the switch on the pump assembly itself, not the high/low speed one.
