Default STS maxed out piping?

I've really thinking about my next "big" move, The vic intake is for sure the next thing, but I'm thinking long term, I had planed on a 408, big turbo and a bit of nitrous, but now I'm wondering if my 2 1/2 inch charge pipe is going to limit me too much....
What if I went with a very well built 6.0, a bit bigger turbo and a big shot 150 +........
Any thoughts?

IMO, the pipe is plenty big enough. Keep in mind the f-body pipe is only 2.25 and has supported 700+ many times. Also for a little more prespective, the v-8 Toyota Tundra kit used only 2" pipe.

Good one
it changes every week.
I wanted 500 fhp with the 5.3
Then I wanted 500rwh from the 6.0
now I think I want a really fast 11 sec ext cab truck...maybe a super high 10?..........

A forged 370 with a good tune and a larger turbo would get you in the high 11s possibly mid 11s. You need to find someone at the track that knows how to get down the track and pick their brain. Alot of track time also helps.

I think the piping is fine. I believe there's a guy in Tx running a PT88 and making 900+ rwhp -- without an intercooler...

Is there any science or reasoning behind STS using 2.5" charge pipe instead of 3" ?

I think it is so the kit will fit under the cab. There is on spot around a cab mount that it is pretty tight with the 2.5 pipe.......

Honestly, I think its a velocity / pipe filling thing. If you look at the piping design its a gradual step system from 1.75" (or whatever the turbo used needs to mate to the compressor) to the 3" needed by the TB. There's plenty of volume there, there's like 48' of piping
