Thanks for the input. Nice set-upTG02Z71. I like the Idea of the duels. Nobody has used resinators? Are they restrictive like a muffler?.
Turbo berserker- I've got the 5.3 with H/C ,supermax headers + y-pipe, and 4L80 swap. I'ts loud but really sounds sweet as the RPM's go up.

Would the pipes be all right to be compression bent. I can't seem to find a shop to do the smooth bent type yet.

You wont be able to tell the difference between mandrel bends and compression. Its more of a cosmetic thing untill you start making 700hp plus.
I dueled mine with no cats or mufflers, it sounds like crap so i am going to put 2 magnaflow race mufflers on. Here are some pics.

I have this 4" ID resonator laying aroung from months ago. Finally have time to get it welded to a pipe, going to just clamp a turn down on the end it.
My wife actually told me yesterday "I hate this truck!"
The noise is too much for her.
I must admit, sometimes I ride the noise band to the exteme, I know it annoys her, I just have to do that for some reason.

You should be ok with no muffler -- try adding some pipe to channel the exhaust over the axle and out from under the truck. Then if its still too loud add a race cut out and a high flow muffler. Race mufflers won't really reduce the noise much, but I've got a flowmaster series 10 if anyone needs one. PM me a price and its yours

Regular 20" (or so) Magnaflow is all I used. Put a simple 3 bolt flange on it so I could remove it whenever I felt like I wanted it loud. No cats and no muffler with the GT-67 was just too loud for dailiy driving in my area.

how well does the turbo cut down on the rasp from removeing your cats. as in if all else is the same ie exhaust and muffler, and you took out you cat and installed the turbo would the turbo cut down alot of the rasp or is it still there.

It doesn't, until you start building boost and creating some back pressure. Mine was LOUD and raspy at low RPM just cruising part throttle around town with no cats, but it gets a little quieter when the turbo spools up.
