Just a thought.

What type of dyno were you on and were you at 15lbs of boost?

I love seeing 4.3's who will run all day on us v-8 guys... I have seen more than a few 4.3's making in the neighborhood of 450-550... it takes some serious internals to get it up there though...

I dynoed on a dynojet at Dez racing. I've used those hp calculators too and I don't get it. Maybe the dyno was f'd up the day i went. who know.

umm if i rebuild mine it will be forged with a heavy cam but that will be a while or until it blows up either way my goal will probably be around 400whp- The stock block can handle that its just a matter of how long it can

Love the STS. No track times with the STS, but it pulls like a bitch. It is a constant pull for me. Kind of like that SOP's feel when you first take off, I have that feel the whole time. I have also heard that the STS will perform better on the street than on the dyno.

Love the sts, no track times yet, and just got a gtech so will post times from that soon. This thing pulls and pulls and I love it. Going to Vegas motorsports in jan. for track times. STS all the way.

your numbers show your hp about right. just look at your trap speed. you're making alot of power down low, but not into the upper rpm likely due to parasitic drag of the blower or air intake temps. i've used the terms STS trucks and dyno queens. there are a handfull of them out there that have went some decent times. the majority of guys with STS equipped trucks either have really good g-tech times, big dyno numbers, or stories of street kills to say how fast they are or should have been. i'd like to see a 5.3L truck equal flyer's time at the same boost level with an STS. my other issue with the STS is how much work has to be done with the kit after it's bought to make the truck actually put down a number. to run fast with an STS you need a big stall, meth injection, air to air intercooler, etc. seriously, how many STS trucks have you seen with well over 400rwhp and running mid to high 13's...(for those who have even shown their track times).

average hp will get them everytime, as you said, they can run well if everything has been changed to support it.
In my eyes, for purely drag strip times vs mods needed/$, its tough to beat N20. I just prefer having the power all the time, even if my peak is a little lower.

Well I have well over 400 rwhp, Do you want to bet that the truck see's mid 12's to high 11's? I know I have the power I just don't think I can hook up. Flyer is the only one I know of that is in the high 11's with a radix. I am not saying there isn't any, just the only one I know. It sounds like a hand full to me aswell. I will have some track times at the begining of the year. I have not taken the truck to the track yet. FL8 ran 12.20 (5,000+lbs) I have alot of the same mods as him, and I am lighter. My dyno #'s are close. I think I can crack the 11's if I hook. I am not firing any shots at radix, I just think that the sts setup," ant no punk"! I think the intercooler evens the playing feild. Radix is intercooled. Meth is just a little extra insurance. (Not needed) I like the radix alot, don't get me wrong. I sometime think I should have gone with the radix. I just think that they are very comparable in power. Sts ant no dyno Queens! Happy New Year!
