Default STS Avalanches?

Well I have been looking for a truck for about a month now. I considered a Silverado SS, but can't find a used one anywhere in the SouthEast! But last night my best friends Dad approached me with an offer. He offered to sell me his 03 Avalanche North Face Edition, Black/Grey, with 20" GM accessory wheels, and 70k miles for $18000. I have detailed the truck for him a few times and it always looks great. All of his miles are HWY, so the mileage does not concern me. What do you guys think?

Now for the real question:

I intend to tow my GTO with this truck, so whatever I get needs to be somewhat heavy duty. I would really like to add a little power to the truck since I will be towing and Daily Driving the truck. The STS seems like a greta option, but I am wondering how it will agree with towing a 4000lb car on a flat trailer with 2 3500lb axles? Should I just get a Radix SC and call it a day or can I get an STS setup with a few minor upgrades and expect to be ok!? The truck will not tow the trailer for anymore than 250miles at a time, since that is the distance of my drive from my parents house to my house.

Any help would be appreciated! Also which upgrades do guys with teh STS setup get? I won't run more than maybe 7psi, do I need injectors? fuel pump? What???

Do the STS with the intercooler option to control IAT's. When towing a load like that, obviously there is more load which means you will be in boost more which means higher IAT's. The intercooler will take care of that for you.
I would go ahead to do injectors to be safe. You will love the torque the STS makes as well as the gas mileage.

I had figured the IC would be a good idea!
So an IC and 42# injectors... hopefully that is all I need. Otherwise this is going to get expensive!

Yeah...the tune is a given! I am actually taking teh GTO in tomorrow for a retune with the new pulley set! Cross your fingers for 600rwhp/510rwtrq on a stock bottom end/head setup with my blower!
