Lightbulb stroked, poked, and ready to tear somethin up!!!!

puttin my motor back together and need some help. i have an 01 rcsb and i'm puttin a stroked(to a 383) 5.3l and need to know what cam/head combo to add to it. i will be installing my vortech s/c back on it when i get done and maybe even some wet stuff but would like to know what ya'lls opinion on cam/heads was. thanks for all the help so far!!!!

that s/c would love some 225 heads... I dont know what to recommend as far as a f/i cam for you but either way it sounds like that thing is going to make some good power. GENIII 383... I've always wanted one..

With the SC I would find some #317 heads from the LQ4/LQ9 6.0L motor. The combustion chambers are 71cc vs 61 on the old motor. They also have the "D" exhaust port and larger valves. You will lose some compression but allow for more boost and juice.
On the cam I installed a Z06 model. It was a monster off the line but fell over on top. Keep the duration at or above 230 and split ( boost ), bigger LSA/overlap at or over 115 ( boost again ), and lighten the valvetrain ( Ti retainers, beehive springs, chromoly pushrods ). Lift will not be as important with the blower, anything over 0.525" should be fine.
