hey guys i was wonder how much hp can a stock 5.3 handle?

Depends on how the power is being made. My 5.3 couldnt handle full bolt ons with the cam in my sig and a 100 shot and me beating on it all the time. I would have been putting close to 325 to the ground na and a bit over 400 on the spray but it had 165,000 miles on it too. I would say about 500 and still be reliable the crank is suppose to be good up to almost 4 digit power numbers. Parsih made 700 and somethin hp on stock bottom end 6L.

I would imagine 500-600 HP

Im hoping it is..

Im pushing 310 at the wheels right now, and am about to twin turbo it!!
