I'm using pac1518 singles with 135 seat and no problems so far at 22psi, .551 lift. Unless you have 50k+ miles on them, I'd bet your ok.

The other factor in "valve float" is valve diameter. What size valves / heads are everyone using? My experience was with stock 317 heads.

not sure on valve size. but there stock 5.3 heads, casting number is 862s
