Default Spark plug gap

So i am swapping to some 7s today, i am running about 14-15psi right now so i figured it was time.

So my question on setting the gap. Is a good rule of thumb to set it wide and work myself down? Meaning should i run the widest gap without blowout?

I personally keep the gap as wide as i can without blowout..028" up to 22 psi no problem. At 15 psi you could probably open it up even more

I had mine at .028 and blow out was horrible in a lot of conditions...

Are you all talking BR7 when you refer to 7 heat range plugs or other?

I know we talked about this in the past but maybe meth had something to do with my blow out issues as opposed to others running e85.

Br7ef

Blowout can occur if charge is too cold for fuel used...meth or e85 act similar...they require some heat in cylinders to properly ignite

Stock heads and non protruded plugs also recess the plug a decent amount.

So what are the advantages of a non-projected plug.
