I have a feeling that mean 16% improvement

So if its currently 70% AE, I dont think they mean its now 86%. I think they mean 1.16*70= 81%. Right on par with a happy big turbo, be cool if that actually materializes. The crux of these things is always the intercooler, so if the AE improves that much the wimpy ones used now would probably be ok.

The intercooler is subject to the company that produces the blower, not Eaton, correct?

Correct. And actually eaton just makes the rotors, different companies use different cases. Like magnacharger and eldelbrock both make tvs blowers, same rotors different case.

I didn't think so either. Even then, that's great. The turbo and centri games have stepped it up lately...cool to see pd stuff following suit.

I can't see anything hugely bigger than the 2300 happening. How big would the market be for a blower that big? GM found some reason to go SMALLER in the new Corvette C7 Z06. 1.7L blower. Look for smaller engines and more boost once we burn through all of this cheap petrol. I can see increases in effeciency and maybe a slighly bigger blower. I think the 3.3L TVS is a pipe dream. OEM's wouldn't use a blower that big. Not that many hotrodders around needing to move that kind of air either. Hope a blower that big surfaces, but not holding my breath.

GM claims the 1.7 was for smaller package and fast response. ( DI is higher compression)

I've heard that too. You wouldn't think a slightly longer rotor group would take up that much room. But hey, I'm a low tech red neck anyway. I've heard the rotor group is smaller in diameter and also shorter. I think Magnuson is going to sell more than a few Heartbeat 2300's to replace that little blower.

Callaway is doing it now. To the tune of about $17K. You get a 2300 and they keep the little blower. Sounds like a lot of money, but you do get a warranty....as long as you don't change anything. Who they hell would resist the temptation to change just a few, or a lot of, things.

Magnuson did it on the CTS v's and ZL1's. Just take the 1.9L off and replace with the bigger TVS2300. You now have some guys (and maybe Magnuson) jerking those 1.7L TVS's off and replacing them with Heartbeat 2300's.

I just question if Eaton would be able to sell enough of a 3300 sized blower for it to be more than an intermittent blip on their radar screen. They're a HUGE outfit. While the Procharger folks can get a nut selling a few F1's, Eaton would yawn at those numbers.

I know it'll happen but the question is how long till it does and how long till the aftermarket gets its hands on it, im gonna try and talk to some more big bosses and see if they spill any beans about the specs or at least time line
