I know that aluminum is great for conducting heat, but that's not something that you want close to an engine. Depending on the densitiy of it . . . it would more than likely work.

Seeing how this is a first, there's got to be some reason for using it

the aluminum downpipes have been out for a while, all the Owtlaw True Ten 5's use it with no problem, and of course it also sheds some weight.......being a 5 incher made in stainless would be a lot heavier than this one.....

Thanks
Flaco

+1 for the aluminum downpipe. A lot of people have been running these for a while now. Its recommended that if you have a quick bend right after the turbo, that it be made of steel, but after that aluminum is ok. Guys on tech have even run them on the street with no issues too.

That's a pretty good life span considering it'll be used 8 seconds at a time.

Very impressive build Flaco

Btw...is Texas painter coming back? I want to know if he actually has a valid point! Might learn something new...but I guess we'll never know!

TexasPainter is the same guy as JYD or IMD whatever it was that got banned a while ago, I think for the same reasons. We'll see though...

Great build man can't wait to see it run!
