Default s480 Feed fitting leak

So I am having issues with the feed fitting leaking on my turbo.

Turbo is a S480 built by APEX turbos. according to them this turbo uses an older s410 CHRA.

it has the 1/4''NPT fitting for the feed but I am having trouble with the fitting leaking after a short drive, truck builds high oil pressure (80 PSI under heavy throttle)

It almost seems like the threads on the CHRA are cut to deep as the fittings will screw almost all the way in before they get tight, then are bottomed out when just getting snug

Tried a steel fitting and an aluminum fitting, both leak around the threads.

tried Teflon paste and tape on both.

Anyone run into this issue?? I am about to buy a normal 2-bolt feed flange and drill and tap the CHRA to work.

If its tapped to deep it's gonna be fun.
Take apart clean will. Get some red loctite.
Apply to threads. Screw all the way in. Tight. If you run out of threads before tight.
You'll have to use a reducer + proper feed fitting size and try again.

You could get a larger fitting with enough wall material, strip the old threads off and get a die on it to bring it down to the 1/4" (1/8"?) size you need. Just don't go as far down with the die on the new fitting so the fitting stays larger diameter. Good ol NPT.
