I bought 2, already sold one local, made $400. The other is going in the corner until it is called upon for something cool,

Well, it's a TVS2300 compressor, only for a ford. Looking at it, I don't think it will bolt to the GM 1900 lower tub and the pulley snout is a lot shorter.

Still yet to get something on the front side of the motor to gauge the hood clearance there. Having an aftermarket ram air hood it may not squeeze in there, but I have a buddy local that would be more than happy to trade me for a factory 04 hood that I can pull the liner out of and make work. The magnacharger systems for the GTO seem to be around the same height, so I think just discarding the hood liner I can get it under there.
On my TBSS the front of the blower sits pretty high. I run without a hood liner and had to dent/massage one of the support ribs with a soft hammer to get the hood to close without forcing it closed. I think the GTO is going to need a lot of hood clearancing. Good luck.
If it just bolted on easy any schmuck could do it

Default Roush TVS question

I've been eying this but my Silverado is a 2006 5.3. What kind of modifications am I looking at to try and make this work? Thanks in advance. John

There are a few other recent threads devoted to your question - have a look down a few posts. Also, I'd rather not clutter the purpose of this thread with this subject-digression.

I'm up and running! 2010 Silverado Crew Cab, 4WD,5.3L, 6L80E trans.

I used the specified TMAP sensor and pigtail, but also incorporated another pigtail that plugs into the stock MAP sensor connector. The 2 pigtails are soldered together, and then the IAT was broke out from the stock harness and merged into this circuit. All in all, I only had to cut one wire......clean, OEM look.

Everything fit great, it's just a very well engineered kit (what you'd expect from Roush I suppose). I bought a few extra kits, along with the TMAP sensors and pigtails in case anyone is interested.

Here's a shot of the connector / pigtail that plugs into the stock MAP sensor connector, along with another shot of the TMAP sensor and pigtail.

Thanks man. I was just looking to see if they had a bigger TVS/Roush that would work on the TBSS
