Things I considered when reseaching FI..

Oil feed (my biggest fear and reason for going SC)
Water in the intake.
lag.
Plumbing.

Pros with the STS seem to be decent reliability, ease of install, CARB legal, upgradeable.

Oil pump has always scared me, but this kit has been on 2 or 3 trucks before mine, and hasnt given me any problems whatsoever.. i think i actually got lucky for once. But i bought 2 extra pumps just cause i found them for cheap.
Lag is a good thing helps alot with traction.

going front mount here. Nothing like popping the hood and having a hair dryer sitting there

i love it when i have a group of people walk over to chat.
fellow: what "supercager" you got?
me: its a turbo
fellow: oh really? lemme see under the hood.
me: ok sure
fellow: thought you said it had a turbo, ( guy is lookin all under the hood like its hidden or something)
me: I do, its under the truck.
fellow: how does that work?
me: like all the other turbos do
fellow: oh ok

ive had people come over to look at it and ask some of the most dumbest questions.
one thought i had a diesel
one didnt even know you could put a turbo on a gas engine

Ok sometimes its funny, other times its aggravating tryin to explain some of the most simple things.

Lag isn't bad on the street but it sucks at the track. As long as the turbo is hot you are good to go but as soon as it cools off it's a dog. It's taken a lot of practice at the track to get it to launch good but my turbo is a little big for a rear mount.

hmmm....that sucks. Aren't front mount and rear mount costing about the same? Why even bother with the rear mount?

Kyle pawned his old STS kit off on me before he started making his front mounts. I will go front mount eventually but I want to push my setup as far as I can before I switch. Once I get some time to do some more fine tuning I'm hoping to run deep into the 11's or break the tranny again.

this is interesting me. Im doing a 5.3L with z06 cam soon and im looking to boost it. Rear mount most likely, to save on the other stuff. If i run low boost 5-10 psi then will i have to upgrade injectors, computer???? I knowe a tune, but can they tune the computer to add fuel pressure with hptuners?
