Default Real life dyno numbers??

I'm going to the dyno Aug. 26th to finish up the tuning and put it on the dyno. Talking to a few people today and thinking my expectations of 1000rwhp is a dream??? One my co-workers has done a lot of drag racing and says I'll never make it. He's saying the 4.6 Cobra needed 32lbs to make it to 1000rwhp. I was going to run around 20-25. What do you guys think?
TSP 408, PRC 237 heads, KB Racing GT91 turbo, 4L80, trans, 4x4, and running on E85. I think the transmission, transfer case, driveshaft, and rear end are going to consume a lot of hp and leave me way short!

id love to see your truck break 1000 whp. im pretty sure jarrett hit 1100 whp with his 6.0 and smaller turbo. no reason why you shouldnt break the 1000hp mark. good luck! were all going to be watching this closely haha

I'd love to see it too! The co-worker I have I'm sure is a little jealous as he's been at the 800 or so mark and probably doesn't want to see mine make it at all!

I would not compare a Cobra motor to a LSx motor. The Ford motors need a **** ton of boost to make big numbers.

You may not make 1000 on this dyno, but the setup should be capable of making it for sure.

I don't see 1000hp being much of a problem with your combo... Long as the converter is locked and holds the torque. Hell, Robbie put down almost 1100 on 19psi with his 415, and that was a blower...

I think you could do the 1000. Do you know what type of dyno the tuner is using?

When it does make good power like it should, just tell your co worker that it made 800 just to keep him happy. Eventually you will race, and then you can ask him what happened, and listen to the excuses.

His current set up is a Capri with a new Ford Modular 5.0 supercharged. I believe it's the coyote engine??? Anyway he blew up the 800 nitrous motor and went for this instead. It puts down 650 on around 13psi. It's a 2800-3000lb car so it's pretty fast. I'll never have a chance to probably ever beat him. Never claimed to either. He'll throw that up in my face for sure!
He thinks E85 won't do crap! I guess he's more into the old ways of big CID, race gas, and a 400 shot of nitrous is the only way to make that.

What did swerve7rpm make for power? I think he had a similar setup. If I remember right I think he went 10.6x. But he was in a reg cab with slicks.

Make 1020rwhp last time we dyno the GTR. This time we going 1150rwhp. I think you need to remove front driveshaft and boost 25lb and watch for tire spin. I always put weight on the tires.
