Corsa y output to the turbo and then a 4" or slightly larger outlet. If your planning on higher than 10lbs use dual wastegates to control and wrap everything, from the manifolds to the turbo.

if your not making any boost on a 76mm turbo behind a 8.1l BB then something isn't right for sure. that should spool that thing at idle damn near.

I build what I WANT, not what I can PAY someone to, so I'll learn by mistake, not by spending a wad of $$$$ for someone else to do it. If it sucks...then so be it, I'll change it, if it works...then DAMN

I love this forum but as far as asking questions and just getting a$$hole answers like yours, well it makes me sick! Thats what this site is for, LEARNING!! Thanks for all the Serious answers I got from the others. I'll post up as to either way I go. I might just take the muffler off and run the 3'' corsa pipe into the turbo, see how that does. I need to rid of the 1st annd 2nd lag I had last time.

Dude im totally with you casey has no idea what he is talking about...his truck only runs 10.05's an mid 10's going 1st to 3rd. I wouldnt believe a thing he says!!!!

Ender you gotta lose the muffler idea for this to work right.First thing you need to do is take the original y that is before the muffler.Cut it out and shove it close as possible to the engine. Then run yourself a 3" single pipe from the y to where ever you want the turbo mounted.Which is probably at the trans tailshaft.Mount the wastegate where the original y merges. to the intermeadiate 3" pipe.Do not mount the wastegate in between the heel of the ellbows in the y.Good place would be the top cheek side of the y merge.Last i would insulate/wrap the complete hotside. That will get you some boost out of the ol'76mm.

Oh we have to be asked to post? Why post anything positive to help if he bashes it like he did casey? Im just saying to him in a "BLUNT" way that if someone that has done the kind of things casey has done with a rear mount gives you advice on how to make it fast then it seems you should at least take it into consideration woldnt you think? But hey ill not post again until someone asks me to...SORRY!

I am sorry i sound like an ***.. i have made post before with no luck on telling him how to make this work........ use DUAL 2.5" short Y pipe feeding a single 3" into the turbo.... leave that muffler in the scrap pipe till you get it running and check on noise.. then install it with no cats... after the turbo and tie the wastegate in after the muffler into the tail pipe..... Dyno proven well over 1000hp with stock manifolds

ok, i get it....but you seem to not Completely understand either. WHY would I wanna take dual 3" exhaust and knock it down to 2.5" for maybe a foot...then back to 3" single. Makes no sense, but oh well, seems like everyone has an 8.1L turbo on here! I just ASKED, had an idea, thought it may work, guess it was a bad idea...guess I should of just not THOUGHT. I'll try turning my brain off and follow everyone else.....

It really does make sense if you think in terms of airflow.
Exhaust velocity increases more efficently which in turn helps spool time.

The single 3" is/was how tierod has his exhaust feeding his old 76 and now 88mm turbos. On Chris's 76mm setup it was almost like a diesel, in boost all the time. The biggest factor with merging to a single pipe, is your getting a more concentrated velocity which helps the turbo keep a constant feed and no be hindered by air turbulence/motor pulses. IMO

Ender06, please excuse my crude modification to your drawing
