Radix and transmission
#1
On the new body style silverados with the 4L65E tranny, can one expect to blow the tranny with the Radix? can this tranny hold all that extra torque and Hp? I am planning on installing a Radix very soon and want to know all the facts. I donīt like messing with transmissions, so stock is probably how I will keep it.
Thanks for the info.

We actually have the 4l65e in our trucks.mine was doing fine with the stock 3.90 pulley that it came with makin 5-6psi the most.
But when i put the 7-8psi pulley, well thats an extra 40hp above 135 already,i blew my second gear with only 5000 miles
.
But you should be fine with stock tune and 5psi.im sure the forced induction wizards, joe or blownchevy will see this and give you advice.

We do not have the 4L65E...the 65E is an older version of the 4L70E that has 5 pinion planetary's and we do not. We have the old plain 4L60E. http://media.gm.com/us/powertrain/en...8_4L60_M30.xls

Then why is my local dealer putting a m32 in my truck?I think the 4l60/65e is the same thing.i was going to buy a flt tranny and they recommended me the 4l70e so who knows, now maybe a tranny expert will chime in.lol

The 4l65 is just a 4l60 with 5 planetary gears instead of 4. It is a little bit stronger, but not enough to hold a radix in stock forum. You will need a built tranny.
