Default Radix on LQ9?

I am thinking of adding a Radix to my Crew Cab LQ9 Vortec Max truck soon. I am worried about the compression though. I dont want to get into doing the cams and pistons or rebuilding a whole motor, I just want to be able to bolt on a radix and drive the truck and have it be reliable and run well. I ran the truck with nothing but corsa exhaust and it went 15.3. Id like to see it in the 13s with the blower.

What are your opinions?

I run the Radix on my Caddy and no problems. Right now I got the 3.3 pulley soon changing over to 3.1 or 3.0 pulley. The Caddy's come with the LQ9.

Mine seems to be running fine. Transmission seems like it is starting act up a little though.

I found with the research I did before the install, you'll be ok util you start adding boost. If I remember correctly, somebody said that if you get below a 3" pully you will start running out of fuel injector.

I have a Radix on my stock bottom-end LQ9, running a 3.0 pulley @ 8psi, getting ready to put on a 2.8 which should get me to about 10 psi. I have been told that the LQ9 would be ok up to about 12 psi as long as you are careful with your timing. I will probably be right at the limit of the 42# injectors though, might have to upgrade.

Well id only run the 3.0 or 3.1 inch pulley for now. I know my truck has the 4l70e tranny which i guess is even a little better than the 65e. I just want a strong running truck that will not give me a million problems and driver terrible in the heat etc.

Personally after trying a few different pulleys on my old Radix and LQ9, I would stick with 2.9" or above. Just remember to get an adjusted tune for whichever pulley you get. Some scanning capability comes highly recommended as well, if nothing more than a scan gauge.

I have more than 50,000 miles on my LQ9 and Radix. I put the Radix on at 2,500 miles. Otherwise stock engine and transmission are still holding up fine. The cats are going bad, but I think that is from running the pre-CARB approved tune (richer) for a couple years before realizing that it was not the CARB approved tune and then upgrading it.
