Default Radix Inlet ?

The cross sectional area of the actual inlet on the Radix(see pics) looks to be be matched to that of the 78mm TB(4700-4800 sq mm) but is only about 75% that of the 90mm TB(6359 sq mm). Is this significant?

There was a post on SilveradoSS.com where someone took a hole saw and hogged out the inlet side of the tube. I know someone is making a kit right now, maybe it is extrude honed or something?
